My Story:

Growing up I never knew who I was or what I wanted to be. Truth be told I never thought I’d see the age of 30, so I never had goals for my future. At a young age I grew up without my real parents and struggled with acceptance, even when I had an adoptive father who did his best. I had a void in my life and I attempted to fill it with what I thought I needed. I found myself trying meth and running away from home at the age of 13. I lived a reckless life struggling with addiction, prostitution, and homelessness. I was 25 years old with no hope, no will to live, and ready to end my life. I felt I had nothing to liive for. My addiction cost me my home, my children, everything I owned. It was even costing my sanity. In 2015 God brought me to the ministry of Victory Outreach where I was able to build a relationship with God through our Victory Home. God radically saved my life!!! God restored my mental health, my will to life, my children, and a relationship with my real mother! God did not only restore me, but I believe he made me new. I am so grateful to God for what he’s done in me that I want him to do more through me. That’s why I believe in Run For Hope. To help this ministry help more people who are just like me.
