My Story:

Hi! I'm Chi-chi Ekweozor and I live in Manchester. We could all do with more hope... Whether it's anxiety, drug addiction, domestic violence or fear, we are surrounded by brokenness and it can feel overwhelming at times. How does one make a difference? Is it possible to break the cycle? Well, I believe it is. I'm doing my first marathon* on 10 October as part of the Manchester Marathon to raise £1000 for Run 4 Hope 2021 so that many more people come to know the joy of living a life of destiny, dignity and belonging through the personal knowledge of Jesus Christ. I joined Victory Outreach Manchester in April 2009 aware of a calling on my life but it was only by getting involved there I came to understand how to walk into it. I have not come from a background of addiction personally but I know that this really is a case of "but for the grace of God go I"... It could easily have been my story, it can happen to any of us!! Important Update - README! 12 days before the challenge, I discovered I had registered to run a full marathon *not* half a marathon as previously posted. My options were either to pull out, or go ahead. I'm going ahead. Yikes!
